Q: As a potential employee, is there a fee for your service?
A: No. All fees are paid by our client companies.

Q: How do I apply for work with Wood Personnel Services?
A: The first step is to contact a Wood Personnel Services representative to schedule an interview or visit our Apply Online section of this website. Through our application and interview process, we will assess your employment history, job duties and skills to determine what client companies may be a match for you.

Q: If I apply online, do I need to come into one of your locations?
A: It depends. Most likely you will be required to come into one of our office locations.

Q: What types of positions does Wood Personnel Services usually staff for?
A: We have a wide range of positions that we fill, but the areas that Wood Personnel Services focuses on include office & administrative, medical office, management & executive, accounting & finance, information technology, industrial, and distribution & logistics.

Q: Is it necessary to apply at more than one Wood Personnel Services' location?
A: It is not necessary to apply at all Wood Personnel Services' locations. All offices of Wood Personnel Services share the same internal database, and you will be considered for all open positions that meet your criteria and for which you are qualified.

Q: When I work for Wood Personnel Services, are you my employer or is the client my employer?
A: If you work with Wood Personnel Services as a temporary or contract employee, Wood Personnel Services is your employer. Wood Personnel Services will process your time card and you will receive a paycheck through us. We will also issue your W-2 form. Any questions that you may have should be directed to your Human Resource Specialist at Wood Personnel Services.

Q: Does Wood Personnel Services offer benefits?
A: Wood Personnel Services offers a benefits package that is competitive in the industry. Holiday pay, vacation pay, medical insurance and direct deposit are just some of the benefits offered by Wood Personnel Services.

Q: When does Wood Personnel Services pay its employees?
A: Wood Personnel Services pays its employees every Friday. Time cards should be completed and received in our accounting department no later than Monday at 5:00pm in order to receive a paycheck on the upcoming Friday.

Q: Does Wood Personnel Services offer any training?
A: Wood Personnel Services offers self-paced online tutorial training at our Interactive Learning Centers. Each employee has a private computer work area where he/she can learn new software skills or brush up on his/her current skills. Some of our software titles include, but are not limited to: Access, Word, Excel and Powerpoint. This online software training is free to the applicants, employees and clients of Wood Personnel Services.

Employer FAQs

Q: What types of positions do you fill?
A: Wood Personnel Services fills a variety of positions from general office clerks and warehouse associates all the way up to directors of IT and CFO's. For a more detailed list of positions that we typically recruit for, please visit our Areas of Specialty page.

Q: What does Wood Personnel Services' bill rate cover?
A: The bill rate charged to our client companies includes the employee's hourly wages, employee payroll taxes, liability insurance, worker compensation and unemployment compensation.

Q: What should I expect to see on my invoice?
A: For temporary or contract placements, hourly bill rates are decided upon prior to the employee starting the assignment. The hourly bill rate agreed upon is the hourly rate you will be invoiced. There are no hidden fees or costs.

Q: How do you pay your employees?
A: Wood Personnel Services pays temporary employees on a weekly basis. The client will be required to verify and sign all time cards for any employees working. Those time cards are then turned into our payroll department for processing. Our employees can choose how they would like to be paid. Options include direct deposit and payroll card.

Q: Do you offer a guarantee if the employee does not work out?
A: Wood Personnel Services believes in one hundred percent customer satisfaction. We stand behind the job performance of all our employees and are happy to provide a replacement for any employee with whom you are dissatisfied. Provided that we are given reasonable notice, you will not receive an invoice.
